He Says I Will Kiss You Like This
And lays his eye next to mine, open,
making a new kiss, a new form, a falling into
sight, which is the beginning of all finding,
so now the two of us lay newly found and kiss
by looking, absolute in the winter-burned yard
with the yellowed scraps of moss kissing
the eye of the sun, and the mailman
with his knobbed knees kissing his route,
for in this warm wide open everything kisses
everything else and no one will look away
because how very great was the darkness before
this uptilted arriving immensity of light.

Wow
A beautiful uplifting poem. It puts me in mind of Hailee Steinfeld's song, Sunkissing, which I listened to yesterday. We need more kissing!
