Mutable border...

Light Matter

Mutable border     mud and muck
cattails sidle into shallows

The open water always the color
of sky     catches a jay flying
over     trackless      feathery

Shoreline willow dives
below ripples     cat’s paw

Surface that swallows sun
and moon

A heron glides down to fish
at the edges     Her image
swims up to meet her
