I used to dream of falling...

Looking Glass

I’m no Alice
though I used to dream
of falling

into other worlds

(so hard was this one)

Poetry, you became for me
a world, where unspeakable things
could be spoken

(I’m not the first to say it)

What magic
is yours, what power
that you could turn

a spade into a heart

with a simple
turn of phrase

what art,
what art?

to turn disaster
into something

I could lose—
further, faster
