Birthday Greeting to Every Day Poems
Jack wrote a poem to Every Day Poems for the birthday celebration, then capped it off with a greeting:
Every day
a poem appears
like a second sun
like a hungry bird
like hope
Every day
a word takes your breath away
a line sings something not heard before
a thought reaches out to you
without your knowing
The poems descend
and ascend
inspire and console
needle and tweak
and beautify
And every day they come
and every week
and every year after year
feeding from your attention
nesting in your bones and dreams
“I’m so happy to celebrate your Delightful Dozen years! Time flies! I can’t believe 12 years have gone by already. You haven’t aged a bit. You’re still as beautiful as ever.”
Quote from Every Day Poems to Send to Himself on His Own Birthday
“the great blue heron seems to be teleported here
from the Jurassic
to look for extinct species of fish”
.
Thank you, Jack, for sharing with the community! :)
