Anna Akhmatova's life is such a powerful example of love of her fellow man and woman, and of truth-preservation through her art and friends.

The woman's question to her, “Can you describe this?” is striking. Words matter.

I am thinking about how I can resist oppressive fear, which can stun me into a freeze. One small way I find myself slipping out of that is by creating poems and sharing them with friends. The creation process itself gives my mind another track to follow, which helps me regain my circulation. And sharing, listening, and connecting with others can be so life-giving and encouraging (as in The Sadbook Collection's comic today called, "Talking"). :)
